Chocolate Bars from around the World

E. Wedel Dark Chocolate Creme Brulee Bars

E. Wedel Dark Crème Brûlée Chocolate Bar from Poland
Produced by Lotte Wedel in Warsaw, Poland, this 100g dark chocolate bar offers a delightful twist on the classic dessert. The chocolate itself is mild yet rich in cocoa flavor, providing a perfect base for the creamy, caramelized filling. The texture is firm but smooth, accurately capturing the essence of a Crème Brûlée. The balance between the dark chocolate and the sweet, brûléed filling is exceptional.
Rating: 9/10

Dolfin Chocolate Bars

Dolfin Milk Chocolate with Crispy Brownies from Belgium
This 70g Belgian chocolate bar is a surprising find. The milk chocolate is remarkably intense, almost tasting like dark chocolate. The interior boasts a crunchy texture that initially suggested Rice Krispies. However, the ingredient list reveals tiny crispy rice balls and brownie pieces. While the intense cocoa flavor is likely attributed to the brownie component, the promised brownie taste is understated.
Rating: 6/10

Meiji Chocolate Bars from Japan.

Meiji Black Chocolate from Japan This stand-out dark chocolate bar defies expectations with its incredibly smooth and creamy texture. The sweetness is a delightful surprise, perfectly balanced with rich cocoa notes. The unexpected addition of whole milk powder adds depth and richness to the overall flavor profile. A truly exceptional chocolate experience.
Rating: 10/10

Icelandic Chocolate Bars

Icelandic Milk Chocolate from Iceland
What a delightful surprise. Two thin bars come wrapped together. The chocolate is incredibly sweet with a strong vanilla flavor with hints of fruit. The smooth, creamy texture melts effortlessly on the tongue. While it’s not what you might typically expect from milk chocolate, the unique sweetness is intriguing.
Rating: 7/10

Banat Chocolate Bars

Banat Milk Chocolate Bar from Serbia
This chocolate bar was a disappointment. The chocolate had an unusual, gritty texture that was unpleasant. The flavor was also off-putting, leaving a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, this chocolate didn’t meet expectations at all.
Rating: 2/10

Eurocream Milky Chocolate Bar

Eurocrem Block Milky from Serbia
This candy bar is an absolute delight. Each individually wrapped bar is a creamy dream, featuring layers of chocolate hazelnut sandwiched between two rich white chocolate hazelnut layers. The texture is incredibly smooth and the hazelnut flavor is pronounced.

Darrell Lee Peanut Brittle Milk Chocolate Bars.

Darrell Lea Peanut Brittle Milk Chocolate bar from Australia
This bar is a fantastic combination of textures and flavors. The smooth, creamy milk chocolate is the perfect base for the crunchy, salty caramel chips and the satisfyingly fresh peanuts. It truly captures the essence of peanut brittle in a convenient bar format.
Rating: 9/10

E. Wedel Milk Chocolate Strawberry-Filled Chocolate Bar.

E. Wedel Strawberry (Truskawkowa) from Poland
This candy bar is intensely sweet. It features a creamy white chocolate filling topped with strawberry jam, all coated in milk chocolate. Unfortunately, the chocolate was a bit gritty which dropped the ratings. The overall flavor is overwhelmingly sugary.
Rating: 4/10

Chocolates Made in the USA

Sander's Minis Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Caramels.

Sanders Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Caramels
These bite-sized treats, roughly 3/4 inch square, pack a flavorful punch. Produced in Clinton Township, Michigan, these caramels are crafted with real cream and butter. The thin layer of milk chocolate allows the creamy peanut butter caramel flavor to shine through. The texture is smooth and enjoyable.
Rating: 9/10

Lake Champlain Tart Raspberry Chocolate Bars.

Lake Champlain Tart Raspberry Dark Chocolate Bar
The chocolate is intensely dark and satisfyingly crisp, but the addition of freeze-dried raspberries with seeds creates an unexpected textural contrast. While the tart raspberry flavor is present, it doesn’t complement the rich chocolate as well as hoped. Other flavors might be better!
Rating: 5/10

Jungle Jim's Milk Chocolate S'mores Bars.

Jungle Jim’s Milk S’mores chocolate bar
The overwhelming artificial marshmallow flavor completely drowns out any taste of the milk chocolate or graham cracker pieces. The graham cracker bits are so minuscule that they contribute nothing to the overall experience. It’s a shame, as the promise of a s’mores-inspired chocolate bar is enticing, but this one falls flat.
Ratings: 3/10

John Kelly Chocolate Fudge Truffle Bars.

John Kelly Semi-Sweet Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Fudge Bar
This hefty, gold-wrapped chocolate-covered truffle is a bit of a disappointment. The firm ganache has a gritty texture, which is unexpected. While the raspberry flavor was pleasant, it was overshadowed by the bitter dark chocolate coating. The flavors don’t quite complement each other as hoped.
